Prodigy Disc M4
The Prodigy Disc M4 is a stable midrange (5/5/-1/1) - good for intermediate players.
Our take on the M4
If you want a midrange that holds the line you put it on and finishes with just a touch of fade, the Prodigy M4 deserves a slot in your bag. At speed 5, glide 5, turn -1, fade 1 with a neutral 0 stability rating, it flies almost dead straight with a gentle, predictable finish. Think of it as Prodigy's answer to the Innova Roc or Discraft Buzzz, but a hair more forgiving thanks to that -1 turn that keeps it from fading early.
That glide rating of 5 is the M4's quiet strength. It floats long enough to reach approach distances without you muscling it, which makes it a genuinely beginner-friendly disc that experienced players still trust for straight shots and gentle hyzers. The beadless rim and 21.7 cm diameter give it a comfortable, neutral feel in the hand.
The one knock is that the -1 turn and modest 1 fade mean it won't hold a hard hyzer or punch through stiff headwinds. For that you'll want something more overstable. As a straight-line control midrange, though, the M4 is hard to beat, and the wide plastic range keeps it affordable.
