Innova Sidewinder
The Innova Sidewinder is a understable fairway driver (9/5/-3/1) - good for intermediate players.
Our take on the Sidewinder
If you're a newer player chasing distance and tired of discs that dive left, the Sidewinder is built for you. At speed 9 with a generous glide of 5, a turn of -3, and only 1 fade, it's a true understable fairway driver (stability -2). Off the tee it wants to turn right for a righthand backhand thrower, holding a long, gentle flight before settling with the mildest of fades at the end. That glide is the magic - it keeps the disc floating long after a more overstable driver would have quit.
Think of it as Innova's understable answer to the Leopard, but faster and more turn-happy. It rewards the slower arm speeds beginners actually have, and it's a clean roller if you tilt it. Throw it on a hyzer-flip and it'll stand up and ride forever.
The catch is the same as its strength: that -3 turn means stronger arms will flip it into a burn or turnover when they put real power behind it. As your form improves, you'll likely outgrow it. The beadless rim and value pricing make it an easy first big-distance disc to try.
