Discraft Fierce
The Discraft Fierce is a understable putt & approach (3/4/-2/0) - great for beginners.
Our take on the Fierce
The Discraft Fierce is a beginner-friendly putt and approach disc, and the flight numbers make that clear. At speed 3, glide 4, turn -2, and fade 0, this is a stable-to-understable putter that wants to fly straight and finish soft. The -2 turn means it will hold any line you give it and even drift right (for a righty backhand) when you put power behind it, while the 0 fade means it lands flat instead of hooking left at the end. That high glide of 4 is the standout - it carries on weak arms that would leave a beaded putter short.
Throw this if you are new and fighting the early left fade that overstable putters punish you for. The beadless rim and soft putter plastics give a comfortable grip and a dead, no-skip landing near the basket. It works as a turnover approach disc and a forgiving straight putter.
Compared to a Discraft Luna, the Fierce is far less stable and far more glidey - the Luna fades and grips, the Fierce floats and flies straight. If you want a workhorse putter that holds its line into a headwind, this is not it.
